if this condition occurs to any one of the finger as shown in the image...then it is "bacterial infection of finger".
first, itching ; then pain subsequently fever with body pains occurs over period of 4-5 days occurs if you delay thinking it will go off by itself. there are cases where finger was cut off to save the hand..so don't neglect and consult physician immediately ...ANTIBIOTIC shld be used definitely. toxins in finger enter into your blood and sometimes it may become serious in rare cases.
in old diabetic pts , if u observe this type, immediately take them to hospital..as they do not have sensation in fingers and toes if anything happens.
